These elegant little guest towels are
perfect accents for your holiday decor - not to mention a great
gift for the hostess of a holiday party you're attending, your
child's teacher, a co-worker or any other special person on your
list. We have several versions - including Joy, Hope and
Peace. We also offer a guest towel with an embroidered
wreath and a gold monogram initial. Simply
contact us for details on our other designs.

We've spoken before about our personalized
kitchen aprons. At right is an apron and kitchen towel set
that features whimsical snowmen. Shirley also includes a
small design in the lower left corner of the apron that
compliments the front design. In this set, the corner
accent is a wisp of snowflakes. We've had so much fun
creating this kitchen apparel! We'd be happy to help you
create a great set for yourself or someone on your holiday
shopping list.

New Bag "Brag"...
Shirley has been busy creating with the new fabrics
she recently found. Here's her most recent "brag book"...
 |
At left is a brown bag made from faux
alligator skin. The texture is simply wonderful! It
is embellished with gold hardware on the handles and an elegant
striped lining. Look for a similar bag in green to be
introduced next year!
|
|
At right is our safari classy bag. The
exterior is a super soft faux animal print. The interior
is an elegant, silky black fabric. It's a great match for
the trendy boots seen on so many feet during the winter season!

New Year...New Treasures!
We've been busy in the studio and have some new items
we'll be introducing in 2010.
Look for the following as the new year begins:
* Framed Monogram
Initials -
A great framed accent to add pizzazz to a girl's
bedroom or commemorate a wedding.
* New Handbag -
The style is still a secret - but only because Shirley
won't provide any hints! She assures everyone it will be worth the
wait.
Available now...
|
* Personalized Throws - |
 |
We've found some beautiful throws that are
cuddly-soft and quite versatile. We can add a simple
initial, a full monogram or even a short message to provide a
personal touch.

A Favorite Recipe
With all of the holiday entertaining coming up, we
wanted to share one of our favorite party recipes. It's a sweet
little treat that is sure to be a hit! Even better, it can be made
ahead of time!
Basic Cake Balls
1 boxed cake mix plus ingredients called for on box
1 can prepared frosting
Almond bark coating or confectionery
wafer coating |
 |
Bake the cake according to package instructions.
While warm, crumble the cake into a bowl with a hand mixer to a fine
texture. Mix in frosting to make a paste, using ¾ to a full can of
frosting, according to taste. Chill the mixture for at least
2 hours. Using a melon ball tool or your hands, form the mixture
into 1 ½ inch balls. Place the balls on wax paper; freeze at least
6 hours.
Working in small batches, remove the balls from the
freezer and dip the balls into warm melted almond bark coating or
confectionery wafer coating - using toothpicks or forks to manipulate
the balls. Remove the balls. Place the balls on wax paper to
harden.
A few hints:
Before dipping in the coating, I insert a sucker stick into each ‘ball’
using the stick to hold while dipping.
I also add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil to the coating for a thinner
consistency.
If you are using chocolate cake mix, use chocolate icing to form the
‘paste’. Dip in chocolate or white bark.
If using white cake and icing, dip in fun colored bark. For a festive
look, after dipping in bark roll in colored sugars or ‘sprinkles’.
Arrange on a holiday serving tray.
